Cave Explorer Gibbon™ teaches you the fundamental skills of big-time caving from passionate local cavers, then guides you into Anxiety State Crisis Cave where you will traverse along the side of the airy main passage before rappelling 30 meters into a gaping black hole! When combined with Flight of the Gibbon's Zipline Canopy Tour, it's an adventure only available while you are in Thailand.

Day 1: Exploration of Thailand's Wonderous Caves

Start by making your way outside of Chiang Mai to where limestone karst formations begin to rise above the bamboo forests and rice paddies. Gear up in the care of our expert instructors, and then head deep underground. Life is not the same after facing the unknown in a strange, sparkling cave passageway! Especially after you traverse along the side of the airy main cave passage before rappelling 30 meters into a gaping black hole.

Enjoy a delicious Thai lunch of sticky rice and northern Thai sausage. Then spend a few hours exploring the massive river passageway that few have ever seen: discover sparking cave features, encounter bizzare creatures, and wind your way through wild limestone tunnels of white limestone. Finish your day by ascending the rope back to the light of day with the satisfaction of having finished the first stage of a great adventure.

Homestay

After your time below ground, you are off to your overnight stay in the beautiful Thai village of Maekampong. Immerse yourself in local Thai culture by staying inside the home of a Thai family. Enjoy a home cooked Thai meal prepared for you by the family. Enjoy a traditional Thai massage during the evening and let it relax away the day's muscle soarness and prepare to sleep well.

In the morning,walk through the beautiful countryside and interact with the local villagers and learn about the traditional crafts and culture.

    

Day 2: Flight of the Gibbon™ Zipline Canopy Tour

Start the day with a hearty home cooked breakfast at your homestay, followed by a short jungle trek with an experienced guide exploring the local culture. Then it's off to continue your adventure of a lifetime flying with Flight of the Gibbon™ – a 3 hour, 5km zipline course high up in the rainforest canopy.

A traditional Thai lunch is included and served on your return to the village. Following lunch, enjoy a vigorous trek  beside the impressive Maekampong Falls.

Before you return to the city of Chiang Mai there is an afternoon snack with locally grown organic Arabica coffee.
