“Although our children are from the hills and forests they had never experienced anything like this marvelous adventure among the tree tops where the gibbons play. It was magical, the sounds of gibbons howling in the distance amid the lush tree canopies and the breath taking views from the tree platforms overlooking the magnificent forest scenery…
The children have not stopped talking about this amazing day, faces glowing, eyes sparkling, wide grins that can not contain their joy and sheer happiness from an experience they will never forget…”

“I am a little scared of heights soooooo deciding to zip line through the jungle was slightly nerve squelching. I can honestly say that this is a seriously professional and worthy operation (which is a good thing when you are suspended in the air flying through the jungle on a wire cable...)
We received pick up from our hotel in chaing mai which was included in the price. We arrived and met our lovely guides Thaiphun and chiet (totally the wrong spelling). They made this experience so easy for me. They had a fantastic sense of humor, were 100% clear and focused on safety and mostly made it FUN! The actual flying through the jungle is incredible and exhilarating.
There was a 72 year old lady with me for the day and I am in my 20's- she was so reassured by them that she wouldn't let anyone else go first! Bless. The guys give you some beautiful information on the local environment you are going through and it is actually really informative and interesting. We came back to the main place and went to the waterfall which wasn't a highlight for me but I am not really a waterfall person. It's water falling. I don't get the fuss. Anyway afterwards we had lunch which was also included and it was delicious. They dropped us back to our hotel which is also included. I slept the whole way back......I reccomend this if you are going to Chiang mai- I would def do it again.”

Flight of the Gibbon is dedicated to preserving the balance of nature through out Thailand’s precious rainforests. We support ecological education programs and fund a re-planting program to preserve Thailand’s native trees. 10% of the profits go to rainforest rehabilitation and protecting the rare Gibbon ape.
The founders were a group of nature lovers who spent their week ends on conservation projects in the mountains of Thailand. In 2004 they were taking pictures of Gibbons in Doi Intanon. Someone in the group noticed some gibbon remains. The guide said it looked like poachers had killed the mother to capture the baby. The small bones next to her were from her unborn fetus.
Then, one day in late 2007 a pair of white handed gibbons were dumped on the side of the road after spending over 5 years in captivity. We knew we had to find a way get them back into the wild and keep them protected. Flight of the Gibbon was created with a very clear mission, the protection of Asian wildlife.
Tong Lorde and Tong Dee (the pair of white handed gibbons) were released January 3, 2009. On February 23, 2010, they finally gave birth in the wild to a healthy son. Thanks to your participation in Flight of the Gibbon, their offspring will never have to see the inside of a poacher's cage.
