White Water Rafting + Zip Line + Homestay Tour caters to all levels, whether you’re an experienced adrenalin junkie or a first-time paddler. The white water is thrilling (class 3 and 4) and the zip line canopy tour is exhilarating, but your safety is always our top priority.
Day 1: White Water Rafting
Meals: lunch, dinner

The Mae Taeng river rafting run is 2 ½ hours of splashing river rapids and excitement. It’s located in the wilderness just outside Chiang Mai. Professional guidance and top safety standards assure the trip is always fun, exciting and safe. The trip leader and safety kayak demonstrate river safety, paddling technique, and what to do if you suddenly find yourself not sitting in the raft anymore to each person.

The thundering of the next rapid is never far downstream and the occasional pools of calm give a chance to reflect on the awesome beauty surrounding the river. Emerald green fields are terraced high above the river and curious villagers are amazed as we plunge through cascading waves and chutes of foam.
After your time on the river, you’ll stay overnight in the beautiful Thai village of Mae Kampong. Immerse yourself in local Thai culture. Walk through the beautiful countryside, interact with the local villagers, and learn about the people’s traditional crafts and culture. Enjoy a home cooked Thai meal, and relax with a traditional Thai massage. The perfect way to complete your first magical day.

Day 2: Flight of the Gibbon Adventure Tour
Meals: breakfast, lunch, snack

Day 2 begins with a hearty breakfast prepared by your host family. You will then be transported by luxury van to the Flight of the Gibbon zip line nature preserve. Our expert guides will take you on an educational jungle trek before outfitting you for safety equipment.
Climb the spiraling stairs up and up to start your jungle “flight” through 2km of zip line. As you soar from sky platforms to hanging bridges and abseiling/rappelling stations, experience this pristine jungle canopy in all of its majesty.
Break for an included lunch before you embark on a spectacular jungle hike up to the impressively beautiful Mae Gompong Falls. As you return to the city of Chiang Mai on your VIP minibus, enjoy an afternoon snack including locally grown, organic Arabica coffee.
What is a Gibbon?
Gibbons are rare, small, slender, long-armed, tree-dwelling apes. These very acrobatic primates live in South-East Asia. Gibbons are arboreal—they spend most of their lives in trees. Because they are so dexterous zipping from branch to branch, almost no predators can catch them. There are nine species of Gibbons, including the siamang, which is the largest and darkest gibbon. Because of the rapid deforestation of their habitats, Gibbons are an endangered species, but we are working hard to change that. Read more about our Rain Forest Conservation.
